Datalogic Mobile designed Elf™ from the ground up with the technology and ruggedness to meet the needs of applications in Field Sales, Direct Store Delivery and similar Field Force applications. Elf™ is equipped with a UMTS HSDPA mobile radio for voice and data communication, an embedded 802.11 a/b/g radio with CCX V4 certification for secure enterprise-class mobile connectivity and a Bluetooth® wireless 2.0 EDR for simultaneous connections with lower power consumption.
Other important features also make field work easier than ever before. Elf™ includes a 3MP auto-focus camera with flash to capture high quality images, for documenting the condition of the merchandise when a damaged shipment or broken piece of equipment is delivered and keep a record of a signature on a document. The field operator can choose between a QWERTY or numeric keyboard for the best keypad to match the application. Thanks to a sharp and clear display, viewing is easy at all angles in any lighting conditions, indoors or outdoors. The built-in accelerometer rotates the display also makes visualization easy and keeps the device awake when in motion. QVGA and FVGA resolution options are offered as well, allowing the operator to select from traditional or web applications. GPS technology keeps field workers headed in the right direction and allows them to tag activities, events, and items to a location.
