Hebron, Kentucky - After an extensive competition between the top scanning companies in the world, the United States Post Office selected Datalogic Automation as their "Best in Class" provider for the next generation of barcode scanning equipment. Datalogic's Matrix 400 imager will be used in material handling systems that process letter trays and flat tubs.

USPS' selection was based on a complete system that represented the "best value" based on cost and performance.

USPS and Datalogic Automation have entered into an agreement where Datalogic Automation will provide the scanning solution to Postal distribution centers across the country.
