Bologna - February 23rd, 2015 – During EuroCIS 2015, the leading tradeshow for Retail Technology, Datalogic presents its wide portfolio for retail applications. Visitors will be able learn about latest scanning technology for the Point of Sales, test innovative self-shopping solutions and find out about how mobile computers help to manage in-store and back-office applications. With new innovative products on the booth such as, the omnidirectional presentation laser scanner Cobalto™ CO5300, and the self-shopping pod, Joya X2, Datalogic underlines, its leading position in the retail environment.
The Cobalto scanner is enclosed in a stylish, compact and ergonomic housing. The scanner’s reading window is encircled by a striking blue ‘Ring of Light’, which turns green to visually confirm a good read. Additionally, a high quality polyphonic speaker can be configured to provide a ‘jingle’ or specific sound providing audio confirmation for a good read of a bar code. An ergonomic top ‘SCAN’ capacitive button activates the single line which, combined with rubber side grips, and a 30° adjustable scan head, allows the scanner to be comfortably used as a handheld reader for scanning larger or bulky items.
The Joya X2 device implements imaging technology which allows accurate reading of both 1D and 2D codes. Shoppers are able to scan products of interest, access pricing, store offers, and promotions. Keeping a running total of items, they can be bagged once scanned by the shopper and shorten checkout time at the POS. Coupons and codes on mobile phones are easily read by the imaging technology of the Joya X2 device. Efficient code reading is also enhanced with the addition of Datalogic’s patented ‘Green Spot’ technology for visual good read feedback even in noisy environments.
Datalogic brought bar code technology to the retail checkout over 40 years ago revolutionizing the checkout process and solidifying Datalogic as a worldwide leader in data capture technology. With the widest portfolio for retail solutions Datalogic underlines its leadership role and visitors that come to the Datalogic booth, will have a chance to experience all innovative solutions that will maximize efficiency and deliver an enhanced shopping experience.
