Bologna, 6th December 2004 - Datalogic has completed acquisition of Laservall SpA, a company active for over 10 years in the sector of laser marking of components (sub-assemblies and finished products) and identification documents (passports, identity cards, and driving licenses). The agreement with Maurizio and Paolo Cucchi - founding and sole shareholders of Laservall - announced on August 27th this year, was completed with signature for the transfer to Datalogic of 100% of shares for the amount of € 7.9 million (mn), plus a further variable amount of € 6 mn upon achievement of business targets in the 3-year period 2004-2006.
Over the years Laservall SpA has achieved a strong international presence with foreign sales accounting for over 70% of the total and an important presence in the Asian area (Hong Kong and Shenzhen) and in North America.
As up to November 30th 2004 Laservall achieved sales revenues of over € 16.4 mn, with an increase of over 58% vs. the same period in 2003 and with profit results showing strong growth.
As regards geographical areas, the increase in sales performance was particularly evident and brilliant in the Asian area (+189% YoY).
Tamburi & Associati arranged the deal and was advisor to the vendor. Datalogic SpA's advisor was Studio Galgano.
