Datalogic: +7% sales revenues in the first half of 2003

Bologna, 3rd July 2003 - Datalogic S.p.A., a company traded on the Nuovo Mercato of the Borsa Italiana S.p.A. (Italian Stock Exchange), which designs and manufactures bar code reading systems, achieved over Euro 63.6 million sales revenues in the first half year of 2003, a growth of 7% compared to Euro 59.2 million recorded in the same period of last year.

Roberto Tunioli, Datalogic Vice Chairman and CEO states: "The sales results for the first half of the year are extremely satisfying. This growth in turnover confirms Datalogic's capability to maintain significant rates of growth, with interesting profitability. In fact, we estimate that the EBITDA in the first six months is appreciably above both the plans and results of the first half year of 2002 (as of 30/06/02 EBITDA of Euro 8.311 million, equal to 13% of revenues)."

The meeting of the Board of Directors to approve the six-monthly figures has been set for 28th August 2003.
