back Datalogic signs frame supply agreement with Siemens Datalogic announces that it has signed a frame supply agreement with Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services, for the global supply of its data capture products and solutions. Bologna, 22nd December 2006 - Datalogic, the leading European manufacturer of bar code readers and mobile computers, and one of the largest worldwide, has signed a global frame supply agreement for automatic identification products with Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services (I&S). Siemens I&S is the integrator of systems and solutions for industrial and infrastructure facilities and global service provider for the plant and projects business covering planning, installation, operation and the entire life cycle. Under this agreement, Datalogic will supply its solutions for automatic identification which includes all three of its product lines: unattended scanning systems, hand-held readers and mobile computers. Datalogic is currently the only supplier of all three product ranges, that has a frame supply agreement with Siemens.Siemens I&S are involved in the automation of manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and postal markets and within this framework Datalogic's three ranges of products will be used in particular in strategic applications such as airport baggage identification systems and scanning in postal automation processes.Datalogic currently sells approximately Euro 1.5 million annually to Siemens named companies, and Siemens I&S foresees a 50% growth in business with strategic partners within the first year of signing the frame supply agreement."We are delighted that Siemens I&S has chosen us to be one of their main suppliers of ADC products," states Gian Paolo Fedrigo, Datalogic General Manager.
