Le DPM (Direct Part Marking) est un procédé permettant aux utilisateurs d’insérer un code-barres directement sur un objet, au lieu de l’imprimer sur une étiquette. Il existe différentes technologies de marquage des produits : Gravure Laser ou chimique, la micro-percussion et l’impression à jet d’encres. Chacune de ces méthodes a ses avantages et ses inconvénients en termes de durabilité, de coût et de facilité de lecture. Le PowerScan™ PBT9500-DPM Evo est un lecteur Area Imager durcis, spécialement conçus pour la lecture de codes marqués en DPM. Le PowerScan PBT9500-DPM Evo Area Imager est équipé de la toute dernière optique et logiciel de décodage de Datalogic afin de rendre la lecture des codes DPM facile et intuitive. La distance lecture typique varie du contact à 4-5 cm, en fonction de la technologie de marquage DPM utilisée, de la résolution du code et du type de matériel et de surface. Le lecteur est également capable de lire des codes standards imprimés sur des étiquettes. Il s’appuie sur une optique haute densité permettant la capture de codes haute résolution de très petite taille, du contact Jusqu’à 15 cm. Le PowerScan PBT9500 est équipé d’une communication radio Bluetooth® 3.0 qui peut être configuré par logiciel en classe 1 (respectivement 90m /40 m de portée). Son système de visée intuitif offre un excellent taux de lecture dès le premier passage. De plus, le PowerScan PBT9500-DPM Evo Area Imager est doté d’une lumière blanche diffuse, agréable à l’œil humain. La Technologie Motionix™ de Datalogic détecte les mouvements naturels de l’opérateur afin de passer automatiquement dans le mode souhaité. La base / chargeur BC9180 comprend en un modèle deux types de connexions Ethernet : standard et protocoles industriels tels que IP et Modbus.
