Datalogic drives industrial efficiency with automated scanning and vision at All About Automation 2026

Datalogic’s portfolio addresses key challenges in production and intralogistics, from traceability and quality inspection to work-in-progress tracking and machine safety.

Bologna, October 6, 2026 – Datalogic, a global leader in automatic data capture and industrial automation, will present solutions that help manufacturers and machine builders improve productivity and quality control at All About Automation Düsseldorf, taking place on October 14–15 at Areal Böhler.

Operators keep both hands free for handling products and packages while barcode reading and packaging checks take place at the same workstation. The demonstration pairs the Matrix™ 320 5MP scanner with an MX-G vision processor running PEKAT VISION software. Matrix captures 1D and 2D codes, while images from successful reads are analyzed to detect missing labels and packaging defects.

Traceability can also be maintained when labels are damaged or codes are marked directly onto components, allowing parts to be identified without an attached label. The wider Matrix family supports these applications and will be demonstrated using challenging barcode samples.

For manufacturers, checking metal components for scratches and other defects becomes an automated task. In this application, the P35C 5MP camera first locates parts on the workstation, then selects the image area containing each component. MX-G analyzes these images, focusing the inspection on the individual part.

Production teams track work in progress and material movements wherever manual barcode capture is needed. PowerScan™ industrial handheld scanners support these tasks, complementing automated reading with devices for operators throughout production and intralogistics.

Protecting larger work areas with fewer devices helps reduce installation work and ongoing maintenance requirements. Datasensing’s SLS10 safety laser scanner offers a safety range of up to 10 meters, supporting applications such as robotic cells and palletizing systems. In the demonstration, it monitors the surrounding area and provides visual feedback on its display when someone enters the configured safety zone.

Visitors can meet Datalogic’s team at Hall 33, Booth 830 to explore the solutions and discuss their application requirements.
