Datalogic is close to the people in central Italy - Datalogic

Bologna, 31st  January - Datalogic, a global leader in Automatic Data Capture and Industrial Automation markets, and world-class producer of bar code readers, mobile computers, sensors, vision systems and laser marking equipment, has started a solidarity project in close connection with local authorities in the areas of central Italy to support those who have been suffering  since the earthquake last August.

More specifically, this year the Bologna company has decided to make available a shuttle service for students and school staff of the Liceo Scientifico High School in Amatrice, to make it possible for them to travel to Rieti and keep attending classes after the earthquake.

Datalogic, thanks to its international presence, has also informed its more than 2,600 employees, working in other European countries, as well as in North & South America and Asia, about the bank details of the Protezione Civile to arrange donations for relief work.
Moreover, employees in Italy have been informed about the project started by Confindustria and by the Cgil, Cisl and Uil trade unions called “Un’ora di lavoro, un’ora di solidarietà”, whereby the amount equivalent to one hour’s work can be given in favor of the people affected by the earthquake.

"As an Italian company deeply rooted in the region we feel it is our duty to support in every way we can the people suffering because of this tragedy, by trying to alleviate their daily hardships as much as we can”  said Romano Volta, Chairman of the Datalogic Group and Valentina Volta, Group CEO. “We hope that our initiative, small as it may be, can help those affected by the earthquake get back to their daily lives".
